With the current city of Bell scandal still in the news describing that the Manager and Council for the City of Bell were giving themselves massive payouts at the expense of its hard-working residents that are working hard just to keep their jobs in order to have a house and basic necessities, it is more important that ever to keep all government officials accountable to the people they represent.
Many elected officials believe their first job once in office is to get re-elected. I, however, believe that private individuals may be called upon by their own convictions to represent and serve their community for a short duration. They have clear goals and know what they want to accomplish, and once these goals have been achieved, these citizen leaders go back into private life. Victor Dominguez is one of these.
Victor Dominguez wants to serve on Beaumont CA City Council. He is not doing it for the money for he plans to donate all his earnings as a City Council-member to Operation Kidz Komfort. He is doing it because he feels he must. He knows that there are real issues that are harming local residents of Beaumont, California. He has a 5-Step Action Plan to fix these problems.
His Action Plan has 5 Main Points:
1. Detailed Review of Current City Operations
2. Immediate Taxpayer Protection
3. Correct Unethical and Illegal Contracting Practices
4. Responsible Growth and Infrastructure Planning
5. Local Business Promotion, Growth and Development
